Platinum/Palladium Printing Workshop
A four-session course, designed to introduce and allow the photographer to make beautiful platinum/palladium prints; often described as the most expressive black-and-white process. Renowned photographer and platinum/palladium printer Robert A. Hansen joins us in teaching this amazing photographic process. His many years of expertise will add enhance the participants' working knowledge, allowing them to further develop their own printing processes. Materials are provided for the workshop. The course is held over 4, 4-hour sessions. Sessions can be held days, evenings or weekend days. Contact us for scheduling.
First 2 Sessions
$250.
The first 2 sessions introduces the photographer to the process, its history and importance as well as aesthetic qualities of this unique process. Integral to this is the making of an enlarged negative. A digitally-produced enlarged negative will be made at the end of the second session.
Second 2 Sessions
$250.
The second 2 sessions involve the making of the print. Each participant will learn the basics of the process; the materials, chemistry and procedures. Each participant will create a beautiful platinum/palladium print from their own image.
Additional Session
$100.
A 2-hour critique and review of prints, along with process tips to improve the quality of the participant's printing technique.
Other Workshops
Portfolio Review
$100.
One-On-One review of artists' work, with a comprehensive evaluation and suggestions as to improvements; either in creation or presentation.
